Capital Turnaround

Capital Turnaround is a dramatically restored Navy Yard Car Barn from the 1800s, known to locals as the 'Blue Castle.' For nearly a century the building served as a maintenance and dispatch hub for the Capital Transit Company's streetcar network.

The theatre opened as a live entertainment venue in August 2021 after a renovation led by Union Stage Presents, preserving the building's exposed-brick exterior and industrial bones while installing an 823-seat performance auditorium (expandable to ~900 standing).
